Bitget Targets Friday Resumption of Withdrawals Across All Tokens
Bitget, a cryptocurrency exchange, has announced plans to resume withdrawals for all tokens on Friday. This move comes after a security incident caused $388 million in losses to users earlier this year. The exchange has already restored withdrawals for Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), and USDT.
The company's protection fund, established in January 2022, has grown to $309 million, which will absorb the financial impact of the incident. To aid in the recovery process, Bitget has launched a bounty program offering a 5% reward for frozen funds and a separate 5% reward for recovered funds.
A significant portion of the stolen funds was transferred to the Ironwood pool, with around $3.8 million worth of ZEC being moved. This is the next step in restoring withdrawals across all supported tokens.
