Bitget Unveils Two Paths to US Equity Ownership
Bitget has expanded its U.S. equity offering with two distinct routes to ownership: rToken and Stock+. The first, rToken, provides tokenized stock-linked exposure through Reality Protocol, allowing users to access a wide range of equities without holding actual shares.
rTokens are designed to correspond economically to one underlying stock or ETF, with the reserve structure built around 1:1 backing by the corresponding security. For example, buying rAAPL acquires a Reality-issued token economically linked to Apple shares. However, rToken holders do not receive conventional shareholder voting rights or direct delivery of the underlying share.
On the other hand, Stock+ removes the token layer and allows eligible users to open a separate securities sub-account inside Bitget and buy conventional tickers such as AAPL. This route prioritizes conventional securities ownership and supports 10,000+ U.S. stocks and ETFs, including fractional holdings from 0.0001 shares.
The two options cater to different user needs: rToken is ideal for crypto-native trading and cross-asset strategies, while Stock+ makes more sense when the ownership structure itself is important. A Stock+ user gets the securities-account route, a larger asset catalog, shareholder voting rights, and dividend distribution in USD.
