Bitget Wallet Hits 100M Users as Stablecoin Adoption Surges in Emerging Markets
Bitget Wallet has reached an impressive milestone of 100 million users worldwide. This significant growth marks a shift in user behavior, with everyday payment activity now surpassing cryptocurrency trading on the platform for the first time.
The self-custodial crypto wallet cites growing adoption across emerging markets as the primary driver of this trend. Users are increasingly relying on stablecoins for cross-border payments, savings, and everyday transactions rather than speculative trading.
Nigeria has emerged as one of Bitget Wallet's most important growth markets, with the country accounting for 60% of stablecoin inflows into sub-Saharan Africa since 2019. The trend reflects broader changes in Nigeria's financial ecosystem, where individuals and small businesses are using stablecoins to facilitate remittances and protect value against currency volatility.
To strengthen its presence in the Nigerian market, Bitget Wallet introduced a direct bank transfer feature in November 2025. This feature enables users to convert stablecoins such as USDT and USDC into naira with settlement through partner banks.
