Bitget Wallet Surpasses 100 Million Users Amid Growing Adoption in Emerging Markets
Bitget Wallet has reached an impressive milestone of 100 million users worldwide. This significant achievement is driven by growing adoption across emerging markets, where users are increasingly relying on stablecoins for everyday transactions rather than speculative trading.
The platform's user base is now predominantly located in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Africa, and Latin America, with Nigeria playing a crucial role in the shift toward digital finance. The country has emerged as one of Bitget Wallet's most important growth markets, with individuals and small businesses using stablecoins to facilitate remittances and protect value against currency volatility.
According to data from the International Monetary Fund, Nigeria accounted for about 60% of stablecoin inflows into sub-Saharan Africa since 2019, largely driven by households and small businesses. The country also recorded approximately $59 billion in crypto asset inflows between July 2023 and June 2024.
Bitget Wallet has strengthened its presence in the Nigerian market with a direct bank transfer feature introduced in November 2025, allowing users to convert stablecoins such as USDT and USDC into naira with settlement through partner banks. The company's payment card business has also recorded strong growth, with over 150,000 Bitget Wallet Cards issued across more than 50 markets.
