Bitget Wallet Surpasses 100 Million Users, Driven by Emerging Market Adoption
Bitget Wallet has reached a significant milestone with over 100 million users worldwide. This growth is driven by the wallet's adoption in emerging markets, particularly in Nigeria where it functions as a stablecoin account for households and small businesses.
The International Monetary Fund reported in June 2026 that Nigeria accounts for roughly 60 percent of all stablecoin inflows into sub-Saharan Africa since 2019. The country received about $59 billion in crypto asset inflows between July 2023 and June 2024, with most coming from households and small businesses rather than institutional trading.
Bitget's shift towards everyday finance is reflected in its new features such as card issuance, direct bank integrations, and QR payment rails. The Onchain Payments Matrix has processed over $177 billion in stablecoin volume across more than 80 payment rails and over 100 currencies.
