BitGo Buys NYDIG's Institutional Trading Arm in Major Crypto Expansion
BitGo Holdings has acquired NYDIG's institutional trading business for an undisclosed sum. The deal, which was completed on August 27, adds derivatives, structured products, execution, and financing services to BitGo's U.S. institutional platform.
The acquired operation will work with asset managers, hedge funds, corporations, family offices, and other professional investors, providing them with a range of services including derivatives, financing, and customized trading strategies.
Approximately 30 NYDIG employees have joined BitGo along with the client relationships included in the transaction. The company has not disclosed the purchase price or payment structure but says the deal will help it support the 'full lifecycle' of institutional digital assets.
NYDIG, which is shifting its focus to power generation and high-performance computing infrastructure, had a development pipeline exceeding three gigawatts as of 2025. The company expects to deliver more than one gigawatt during 2027 and 2028.
