BitGo Names Alex Rozman as Chief Compliance Officer
BitGo has named Alex Rozman as its new Chief Compliance Officer, effective September 21. In this role, he will lead engagement with regulators and banking authorities across BitGo's global operations. The company operates under a federal trust charter and holds licenses in various jurisdictions, including the US, Europe, and Singapore.
Rozman has over 25 years of experience in compliance, risk management, and AML. He joins BitGo from Exodus Movement, where he served as Chief Compliance Officer since May 2024. Before that, he led global compliance at Polygon Technology and held positions at CLS Bank International, Deloitte, and Navigant Consulting.
The appointment comes after a major change in BitGo's US regulatory structure. In January, the company listed its Class A shares on the New York Stock Exchange under BTGO and converted its banking subsidiary into a federal trust charter. The new structure subjects the bank to OCC supervision, including capital, risk management, and AML controls.
Bunder the national trust structure, BitGo's client base has grown significantly, with 5,833 clients as of June 30, up from 4,621 one year earlier. The company reported $65.2 billion in assets on platform and $11.9 billion in assets staked during the quarter.
