The South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb has announced that it will suspend SEI token deposits and withdrawals on August 4, at 9:00 a.m. UTC.

This decision is part of the platform's support for an upcoming Sei network upgrade, which is a routine but critical maintenance event for blockchain networks.

The suspension is a standard precautionary measure during network upgrades to ensure that transactions are not lost or processed incorrectly during the transition.

Bithumb will resume SEI deposits and withdrawals once the network upgrade is confirmed stable and the exchange has completed its own verification checks.
