BitMart, a nine-year-old cryptocurrency exchange, has announced its decision to cease operations. The platform will shut down by January 31, 2027, with users having until August 26, 2026, to close trades and six months to withdraw funds.

The company cited challenging operating conditions and the market environment as reasons for the closure, although it did not provide specific details.

BMX token holders have seen a 58% decline in their investment over the past 24 hours, continuing a year-long downward trend.
