BitMart Shuts Down Amid Market Uncertainty

Share

Crypto exchange BitMart is shutting down, following in the footsteps of another prominent exchange, BitMex. The company announced on Sunday that it would begin suspending new registrations and deposits immediately, with trading services set to be discontinued on August 26.

BitMart stated that it has decided to 'commence an orderly wind-down' of its operations due to a combination of factors, including the current market environment. The company will continue to offer withdrawal services, but users are advised to close positions and withdraw their assets as soon as possible.

The shutdown process is expected to take several months, with BitMart's operations officially ending on January 31 next year. This development comes just three days after another major exchange, BitMex, announced that it would be shutting down.
