BitMart Shuts Down Trading Operations Amid Market Shift
BitMart has announced that it will shut down its trading operations after a thorough review of its operating conditions and market environment. The exchange stopped new registrations, deposits, and orders on July 26, and will end all spot, futures, and other trading services on August 26.
The shutdown comes as the BMX token has plummeted by over 63% in the past 24 hours, with a significant decline in its market value. BitMart warned users to close all positions before the trading cutoff date and recommended submitting withdrawals before August 26's deadline.
Withdrawals remain available, but may face identity, source-of-funds, wallet ownership, sanctions, Travel Rule, and security reviews. The exchange plans to terminate trading-platform operations at 15:59 UTC on January 31, 2027, while users will retain limited account access for a period after that date.
