BitMart Shuts Down Trading Platform Amid Strategic Restructuring
BitMart has announced its decision to shut down after nine years in operation. The cryptocurrency exchange stopped registering new clients on July 26, and trading orders are no longer being executed.
The platform will cease spot trading and derivatives operations by August 26 and completely wind down its activities by January 31, 2027. Withdrawals will remain available throughout the transition period, but users may experience delays due to extended verification checks.
BitMart's BMX token dropped by over 50% to 8 cents after the announcement, and the exchange cited its decision as a strategic direction to self-liquidate.
