BitMart Slams Brakes on US Users as Compliance Checks Loom
BitMart has given its US users only days to withdraw their cryptocurrency assets as it prepares for aggressive new compliance checks that risk freezing their funds. The exchange is halting all spot, futures, and other trading services on August 26 at 01:00 UTC, with a recommended withdrawal deadline of 05:00 UTC on the same day.
Covered users are advised to cancel outstanding orders, close applicable positions, redeem or withdraw eligible product balances, and remove their remaining assets. Those with unwithdrawn funds may face further restrictions on their accounts after August 8 at 23:59 UTC, with BitMart stating that remaining assets will be handled under applicable law.
The exchange's withdrawal deadline for US users is an earlier regional cutoff than its global trading halt on August 26. Moving to the separate BitMart U.S. platform does not guarantee approval or access to specific products and requires a new account with its own identity checks.
