BitMEX Reopens Withdrawals for Restricted Jurisdictions
BitMEX has opened withdrawal access to customers from six previously restricted jurisdictions following its shutdown. The crypto derivatives platform has lifted restrictions for users in the United States, Canada, Hong Kong SAR, Bermuda, Seychelles, and Myanmar, allowing them to log in, complete identity verification, and withdraw remaining funds.
The change is solely aimed at facilitating fund recovery after BitMEX ended operations on September 23. The company has urged customers to remove their balances from the platform and has warned that withdrawals may attract account charges as the wind-down progresses.
Users in these jurisdictions who were previously blocked due to commercial or regulatory reasons can now access their accounts using their existing credentials and submit withdrawal requests.
