BitMine Adds $1.3 Billion to Holdings with 27,562 ETH Purchases
BitMine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) has made significant additions to its cryptocurrency holdings over the past week. According to a press release and 8-K filed on September 21, the company purchased 27,562 Ethereum (ETH), bringing its total holdings to $17.1 billion.
This increase represents a rise of $1.3 billion from the previous week's total of $15.8 billion. The company's Ether valuation has also risen, with a price per token of $2,688 on Coinbase, up from $2,513 a week earlier.
The purchases put BitMine's treasury at 5,983,940 ETH, valued at approximately $74 million based on the current market price. This significant addition to its holdings has likely contributed to the company's overall growth and expansion in the cryptocurrency space.
