BitMine Adds ETH, Strive Expands BTC Holdings as Corporate Crypto Strategies Diverge
Three companies in the crypto space have been making significant moves to manage their treasuries. BitMine Immersion Technologies is accumulating Ethereum, while Strategy has taken a different approach by raising $2.01 billion without buying more Bitcoin.
BitMine added 32,447 ETH during the week ended August 23, increasing its Ethereum holdings to 5,847,611 ETH. The company's treasury now accounts for approximately 4.8% of Ethereum's circulating supply, with a market value of around $14.6 billion at current prices.
Strategy raised capital through MSTR sales and allocated the funds to its USD Reserve, repurchasing STRC preferred stock, and directing some proceeds to a new USD Cash account. The company has maintained its Bitcoin position at 840,447 BTC, which carries a market value of around $66 billion at current prices.
Strive continued to accumulate Bitcoin, buying another 1,110 BTC for approximately $81.5 million, expanding its holdings by roughly 5.5% in a single transaction. This move brings Strive's total Bitcoin treasury to 21,356 BTC, valued at around $1.68 billion at current prices.
