Bitmine Becomes Largest Corporate Holder of Ethereum, Sees Massive Price Potential
Tom Lee's investment firm Bitmine has become the world's largest corporate holder of Ethereum, holding nearly 5% of its total supply. This follows Lee's prediction that Ether will surge to $22,000 within a few years and $62,000-$250,000 in the long term.
Lee's support for Ethereum is significant because he was one of the few analysts who recommended buying Bitcoin in 2017 when it was trading at around $2,600. He has been bullish on Ether since late 2024, when it was trading at about $3,400.
The growth of Ethereum as a developer-oriented blockchain for smart contracts and decentralized apps is expected to fuel the rally in Ether's value. As more stablecoins are minted and tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) are stored on its network, Ether will attract attention from institutional investors.
