Bitmine Boosts Ether Holdings to Over 6 Million Tokens
Bitmine, the world’s largest corporate holder of Ether (ETH), has expanded its holdings by 15,112 ETH over the past week, bringing its total to 6,016,414 ETH. This represents approximately 4.9% of Ether’s circulating supply of 122.1 million tokens. The company has been consistently accumulating ETH since launching its Ethereum treasury strategy on June 30, 2025, and has now achieved 99% of its goal to acquire 5% of all ETH.
Bitmine has staked 5,067,309 ETH, or 84% of its total holdings, at an Ether price of $2,726. The staked ETH is valued at about $13.8 billion, with an annualized yield of 2.63%, generating roughly $363 million in annual staking income. If all of its ETH were staked, the projected rewards would rise to about $431 million annually.
The company’s total digital-asset, cash, marketable securities, and strategic investment assets amount to $17.4 billion. This includes 6.02 million ETH, 214 Bitcoin, $643 million in cash and marketable securities, a $180 million stake in Beast Industries, and a $117 million stake in Aethco Holdings. Bitmine also executed share buybacks of 21 million common shares in 2026 alone, with its stock remaining actively traded, averaging a daily trading value of $827 million in the US market.
Chairman Tom Lee emphasized the company’s focus on maximizing shareholder returns, noting that Bitmine shares have outperformed ETH during the 2025-2026 downturn. While ETH fell 10% in the first nine months of 2026, Bitmine stock declined only 3%, reflecting a 731 basis points outperformance. Lee also highlighted Ether’s strong third-quarter performance, outpacing the S&P 500 by 6,832 basis points despite macroeconomic challenges.
