Bitmine Boosts Ethereum Holdings to 6 Million Tokens
Bitmine Immersion Technologies has significantly expanded its Ethereum holdings, pushing its treasury to 6,016,414 ETH, valued at approximately $16.4 billion. The company acquired an additional 15,112 ETH over the past week, bringing it close to its goal of owning 5% of Ethereum’s total supply, which stands at 122.1 million tokens. With this latest purchase, Bitmine now holds 4.9% of Ethereum’s supply.
Bitmine has been consistently buying ETH every week since launching its treasury strategy on June 30, 2025. Chairman Tom Lee highlighted the company’s uninterrupted purchasing record, emphasizing its commitment to accumulating Ethereum. The latest acquisition follows a previous purchase of 17,362 ETH in late September, which took the treasury past the 6 million ETH mark.
Most of Bitmine’s Ethereum holdings are staked, with 5,067,309 ETH, worth $13.8 billion, committed through its MAVAN platform and staking partners. This represents 84% of the company’s total Ethereum holdings. The staked balance generates a seven-day annualized yield of 2.63%, projecting annual staking revenue of $363 million. If the entire ETH balance were staked, the projected annual rewards would rise to $431 million.
Lee also noted Ethereum’s strong performance against traditional markets during the third quarter of 2026. Despite macroeconomic headwinds, including rising global bond yields and tighter financial conditions, ETH outperformed the S&P 500 by 6,832 basis points. Lee is set to publish his October chairman’s message, titled “Crypto bull underway, this cycle likely the largest,” and will deliver a keynote at Token2049 in Singapore on October 7.
Beyond Ethereum, Bitmine holds a diverse portfolio, including 214 Bitcoin, $643 million in cash and marketable securities, a $180 million stake in Beast Industries, and a $117 million position in Eightco Holdings. The company’s total holdings across crypto, cash, securities, and other investments are valued at $17.4 billion. Bitmine has also been actively buying back its own stock, acquiring 21 million BMNR shares during the first nine months of 2026.
