BitMine Closes In on 5% of Total Ethereum Supply with $19M Purchase
BitMine Immersion Technologies has made another significant Ethereum purchase, adding $19 million to its balance sheet. This acquisition brings BitMine's total ETH holdings to approximately 5.78 million tokens, representing about 4.8% of the entire Ethereum supply.
This makes BitMine the largest corporate holder of ETH in the world, surpassing all other companies by a significant margin.
The company's ETH Treasury Strategy has been in place since June 30, 2025, with the goal of buying Ethereum on a weekly schedule and staking the holdings to generate yield. The strategy has proven successful, with BitMine's largest single purchase being 126,971 ETH valued at approximately $214 million during the week ending June 8, 2026.
BitMine's total crypto and cash holdings now sit at around $11.5 billion, with its Ethereum position being the centerpiece. The company is close to reaching its goal of holding 5% of the total ETH supply, with just a few weeks of weekly purchases needed to reach this target.
