Bitmine, a firm linked to Fundstrat's Tom Lee, has expanded its Ethereum holdings with a significant purchase. The company acquired 12,500 ETH, valued at $33.65 million, through BitGo in a transaction completed just five hours ago.

The current price action for ETH shows the cryptocurrency trading at $2656.95, slightly below the 50-hour exponential moving average (EMA50) at $2694.51. This movement occurs within a broader bearish structure, with the 200-hour EMA providing distant support at $2601.2.

Technical indicators suggest continued downward momentum, with the MACD death cross at -2.3 maintaining negative pressure. The RSI stands at 37.59, indicating the asset is not yet in oversold territory. ETH is currently testing the lower Bollinger Band at $2672.7, and any potential bounce would first need to surpass the upper band resistance at $2734.26 before challenging the EMA50 again.
