Bitmine Hits 6.02 Million ETH Holdings Reaching 4.9% of Total Supply
Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) has announced that its Ethereum (ETH) holdings have reached 6.02 million tokens, representing 4.9% of the total ETH supply of 122.1 million. The company's total crypto, cash, and marketable securities holdings, including "moonshots," now amount to $17.4 billion. This milestone comes just 15 months into Bitmine's ambitious goal to acquire 5% of the ETH supply, a target they are 99% of the way to achieving.
As of October 4, 2026, Bitmine's crypto holdings include 6,016,414 ETH at $2,726 per ETH, 214 Bitcoin (BTC), a $180 million stake in Beast Industries, a $117 million stake in Eightco Holdings (NASDAQ: ORBS), and total cash & marketable securities of $643 million. The company has also staked 5,067,309 ETH, valued at $13.8 billion, through its institutional-grade staking platform, MAVAN (Made in America VAlidator Network).
Tom Lee, Chairman of Bitmine, highlighted the company's outperformance during the bear market of 2025-2026, noting that while ETH declined 10% in the first nine months of 2026, BMNR was down by only 3%. Lee also emphasized Bitmine's consistent buying of ETH, stating that the company has acquired crypto every week since the inception of its ETH Treasury Strategy on June 30, 2025. He projected annualized staking revenues at $363 million, with Bitmine's own staking operations generating a 7-day yield of 2.63%.
Bitmine remains one of the most widely traded stocks in the US, with an average daily dollar volume of $827 million as of October 2, 2026. The company is backed by a premier group of institutional investors, including Cathie Wood's ARK, Founders Fund, Bill Miller III, Pantera, Kraken, DCG, and Galaxy Digital. Bitmine management believes that the GENIUS Act and the SEC's ProjectCrypto are transformational for financial services in 2026, comparable to the 1971 event that ended the Bretton Woods system.
