BitMine Nears 5% ETH Supply Target with New Crypto Acquisition

BitMine, led by Tom Lee, is nearing its goal of controlling 5% of Ethereum's total supply. The company now holds 5.9 million ETH, just 134,000 tokens away from reaching this target.

The 'Alchemy of 5%' strategy, launched on June 30, 2025, has seen BitMine increase its exposure to Ethereum for the 65th consecutive week. This strategy has established the firm as the largest publicly disclosed corporate holder of ETH.

At a reporting price of $2,511, the newly acquired tokens are valued at approximately $134.3 million. However, if the current market price is used, the value drops to around $131 million.
