Bitmine Reaches $15.6 Billion in Holdings with Ethereum Staking Frenzy
Bitmine, a blockchain technology infrastructure company, has announced its holdings of $15.6 billion in total assets as of August 30, 2026. This includes $5.90 million ETH tokens, worth approximately $12.7 billion at the current price of $2,511 per ETH.
The company's Ethereum holdings represent 4.9% of the total ETH coin supply of 120.7 million and are managed through its institutional-grade staking platform, MAVAN (Made in America VAlidator Network). As part of this strategy, Bitmine has staked 5,067,309 ETH on the MAVAN platform, earning an annualized yield of $335 million.
Bitmine's Chairman, Thomas 'Tom' Lee, commented on the company's performance, stating that 'ETH is the cure for the Uncanny Valley of Wealth.' He noted that Ethereum has outperformed the S&P 500 by 5,430 basis points in the third quarter of 2026 and predicted that institutional participation in buying crypto will increase in the final months of the year.
