Bitmine Reaches 5.93 Million ETH Holdings, Crypto Assets Surge to $15.7 Billion
Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) has announced its Ethereum holdings have reached 5.93 million tokens, accounting for 4.9% of the total ETH supply. This milestone comes just 15 months after starting the 'Alchemy of 5%' initiative.
The company's crypto and cash holdings now total $15.7 billion, with a significant portion being invested in Ethereum. As of September 7, 2026, Bitmine holds 211 BTC, a $180 million stake in Beast Industries, and a $91 million stake in Eightco Holdings ORBS.
Bitmine's common stock has gained 99% in the quarter to date, making it one of the top-performing stocks in the Russell 1000. The company's Chairman, Thomas 'Tom' Lee, stated that Ethereum is the best-performing macro asset in Q3 2026 so far, outperforming the S&P 500 by 5,430 basis points.
Lee expects a sharp upward move in ETH prices in the coming weeks, citing a renewal of the upside trend. He believes this sets the stage for institutional investors to add to their crypto holdings, given the substantial outperformance of crypto versus other macro assets in Q3 so far.
