BitMine Surpasses Six Million ETH in Treasury Holdings
BitMine has surpassed the six million ETH mark in its treasury after purchasing 17,362 tokens last week. At its current holdings of 6,001,302 ETH, the company now holds about 4.9% of Ethereum's supply.
The purchase, worth approximately $16.2 billion at the $2,698 per ETH reference price, brings BitMine's combined holdings to $17.2 billion. This includes assets beyond Ethereum, such as 213 BTC and two equity stakes valued at $180 million and $115 million respectively.
BitMine has staked 5,067,309 ETH, which equates to about 84% of its reported holdings, earning a seven-day annualized yield of 2.62%. The company's stake in MAVAN validator platform, launched in 2026 for its own treasury, now also serves institutional investors and ecosystem partners.
Lee notes that BitMine has reached 98% of its goal to own 5% of Ethereum's supply, labeling it the 'Alchemy of 5%'. The company has not given a date for reaching this target.
