Bitmine's ETH Buying Streak Hits 14 Months Amid Market Rebound
Bitmine, an investment firm led by Tom Lee, continues its long-running strategy of accumulating Ethereum (ETH) as part of its treasury. The company has been buying ETH every week since June 30, 2025, and last week was no exception.
In the latest update, Bitmine disclosed that it purchased 32,447 ETH during the prior week, bringing its total holdings to 5,847,611 ETH. This represents about 4.8% of Ethereum's circulating supply.
The company has been steadily working towards its goal of owning 5% of Ethereum's supply, and with this latest purchase, it is now 97% of the way there. Bitmine also reported that it has staked 5.07 million ETH, which accounts for around 87% of its holdings.
The timing of Bitmine's purchase coincided with a broader market rebound, particularly in Ether, which gained more than 32% since the US Treasury announced plans to double its monthly purchases of certain Treasuries. This move was seen as supportive by the market, leading to a sharp rally across ETH and other cryptocurrencies.
