Bitmine's Ethereum Treasury Grows to Over 5.98 Million Tokens
Bitmine's (BMNR) Ethereum treasury has grown significantly, with the company adding another 27,562 ETH this week. This brings its total to approximately 5.98 million ETH, which is equivalent to about 4.9% of the current Ethereum supply.
As reported by Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee, the company has been purchasing Ethereum every week since launching its ETH treasury strategy on June 30, 2025. The latest purchase puts Bitmine at roughly 98% of its stated 5% accumulation target.
The BMNR stock price surged 5.9% following the news, adding about $1.53 from its previous close of $25.96. This places Bitmine's shares near the upper end of their morning range, with buyers maintaining the stock well above the prior closing level.
Bitmine has also placed most of its Ethereum holdings into staking, with total staked ETH reaching 5,067,309 tokens as of September 20. At $2,688 per ETH, the staked position carries a value of approximately $13.6 billion, representing about 85% of Bitmine's total Ethereum holdings.
