Bittensor consolidates at $302 as $318 breakout looms
The price of Bittensor (TAO) is currently consolidating around $302, with key support at $295 and resistance at $318. After breaking through the $277.20 resistance level and reaching a high of $341, TAO has entered a cooling-off phase as buyers take profits. A sell-off attempt in early October failed to gain traction, showing that buyers are still defending the overall structure. The current consolidation is marked by shrinking candles and fading volume, indicating that traders are waiting for a new catalyst.
The immediate test for TAO is a breakout above $318, which could reignite momentum and push prices toward $326 and then $341. Conversely, a drop below $295 could lead to downward pressure, targeting $283 and $277.20. This consolidation follows a broader AI-driven rally in September, where TAO gained 37% as the AI crypto sector surged 54%. However, TAO lagged behind other AI-focused projects like NEAR Protocol (NEAR), which rose 183%, Venice Token (VVV) with 70%, and Worldcoin (WLD) with 47%.
The challenge for TAO is to convert the AI narrative into stronger relative demand. If decentralized AI infrastructure gains more investor interest, TAO could attract fresh capital and close the performance gap. However, if the trend does not continue, TAO may struggle to compete in the rapidly expanding AI space. September's gains strengthened TAO's narrative, but sustained inflows are needed to validate it.
