Bittensor Price Surges 20%, Eyes Potential Breakout to $1,000
The Bittensor (TAO) cryptocurrency has surged nearly 20% in recent days, breaking above the $320 area and reaching a crucial resistance zone around $350-$360. This price action is significant because it marks a potential trend reversal for TAO, which could set the stage for a larger breakout to new highs.
The key factor driving this surge is the tightening emission curve of Bittensor's subnet economy. With a fixed maximum supply of 21 million tokens and controlled issuance through a halving mechanism, the rate of new TAO entering the market is slowing down. Currently, the total issuance has reached around 11.2 million tokens, leaving the network below the next 15.75 million issuance threshold.
Another crucial factor supporting this price action is growing commercial activity across Bittensor subnets and expanding institutional access to the asset. Grayscale's Bittensor Trust continues to issue shares through private placements, while a proposed ETF structure could further boost market exposure for TAO.
