Bittensor Unveils Ambitious Roadmap for Full-Stack Intelligence Network
Bittensor is pushing forward with its ambitious plan to become a 'full-stack intelligence network' where dozens of specialized subnets trade services, generate revenue, and gradually shed centralized control.
The subnet economy has started making money, with 24 subnets estimated to generate between $28 million and $35 million in annualized external revenue as of August and September 2026. This includes compute-focused subnets like Lium SN51 and Chutes SN64, which are reportedly earning more from external customers than they receive in TAO emissions.
Bittensor's client list includes PwC France, Dropbox, and an NYSE-listed REIT, adding credibility to the revenue claims. The next major structural change is the introduction of Gamma tokens, a new token type designed to function as usage credits for inter-subnet purchases.
