Bittensor’s TAO Awaits Breakout as AI Crypto Rally Cools
Bittensor's TAO cryptocurrency is currently consolidating around $302, with key support at $295 and resistance at $318. The asset recently broke above the $277.20 resistance level, reaching a high of $341 before sellers began taking profits. Bears attempted a sell-off toward $283 in early October but lacked momentum, indicating strong buyer defense.
The current consolidation phase, marked by shrinking candles and fading volume, suggests traders are awaiting a catalyst. A breakout above $318 could reignite momentum, targeting $326 and then $341. Conversely, a drop below $295 might pressure TAO toward $283 and $277.20.
TAO's consolidation follows a broader AI-driven rally in September, where it gained 37%. Grayscale's AI-focused crypto sector basket surged 54% during the same period, highlighting investor interest in AI blockchain projects. However, TAO lagged behind competitors like NEAR Protocol (183% gain), Venice Token (70%), and Worldcoin (47%).
This performance gap raises questions about TAO's ability to sustain its AI narrative. If demand for decentralized AI infrastructure grows, TAO could attract fresh capital. Otherwise, it may struggle to compete in the rapidly expanding AI space.
