Bittensor’s $TAO Faces Crucial Test at $318 After AI Rally
Bittensor’s $TAO token is currently in a consolidation phase around $302, with key support at $295 and resistance at $318. This comes after a notable rally where $TAO broke past the $277.20 resistance and peaked at $341 before sellers took profits, halting the upward momentum. Despite a brief sell-off attempt in early October targeting $283, buyers successfully defended the structure, preventing a larger decline.
The recent consolidation is marked by shrinking candles and fading volume, indicating that traders are waiting for a catalyst. The next critical test for $TAO is the $318 resistance level. A breakout above this level, supported by volume, could push the price toward $326 and potentially $341. Conversely, a drop below $295 could see $TAO fall toward $283 and $277.20.
$TAO’s consolidation follows a broader AI-driven rally in September, where the token gained 37%. This surge was part of a 54% increase in Grayscale’s AI-focused crypto sector basket, reflecting growing investor interest in blockchain technology within the AI economy. However, $TAO lagged behind other AI-related tokens like $NEAR Protocol, which surged 183%, Venice Token (VVV), which rose 70%, and Worldcoin (WLD), which climbed 47%.
This performance gap highlights the need for $TAO to attract stronger relative demand to sustain its momentum. If decentralized AI infrastructure gains more investor interest, $TAO could see renewed capital inflows. However, if the trend does not continue, $TAO may struggle to compete in the rapidly expanding AI space.
