Bitwise Amends Existing XRP ETF Filing, Not Seeking New Approval

XRP's price surged 7.7% on September 18 after Bitwise Asset Management submitted an amended filing to its existing XRP ETF with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The update, a Post-Effective Amendment No. 2, was not a new application for a XRP ETF but rather a revision to the existing product.

The SEC's public filing described the update as a preliminary prospectus dated September 18, noting that the product's documents are still 'subject to completion.'

XRP opened the day near $1.30 and hit an intraday high around $1.41 before closing at about $1.40.
