Bitwise Sees NEAR Reaching $155 in Base Case Price Target

Bitwise Investment Advisers has filed a prospectus for its Bitwise NEAR ETF, which will track the value of NEAR Protocol (NEAR) tokens. The fund's primary goal is to mirror the performance of NEAR held in trust, with staking as a secondary objective.

The accompanying investment report outlines three price targets for NEAR by 2030: $155 under its base case, $563 in a more bullish scenario, and $1.63 in a bearish case. The projections rely on the Protocol Value Accrual model, which estimates revenue from token swaps, AI agent tasks, and micropayments.

The report cites Barclays research suggesting that 1 billion consumers will interact daily with AI systems by 2026, and Bitwise assumes NEAR will capture about 2% of a projected global agent population of 16.4 billion by 2030.
