Bitwise Taps Superstate to Tokenize Solana Staking ETF
Bitwise Asset Management and Superstate are partnering to explore tokenizing Bitwise's Solana Staking ETF, BSOL. This move would allow investors to hold shares either in traditional book-entry format or as on-chain tokens. While BSOL already lists on NYSE Arca under its ticker, trading at around $10.42 against a net asset value of $10.40, the appeal of tokenization lies in operational upgrades such as faster settlement and real-time portfolio transparency.
The partnership's structure preserves optionality, ensuring that tokenized shares carry equivalent rights to traditional counterparts, maintaining legal protections for investors. This parity is crucial for institutional adoption, where fiduciary obligations don't bend for cool technology. The market for tokenized real-world assets has surpassed $30 billion, with tokenized US Treasuries alone accounting for over $15 billion as of mid-2026.
Nate Geraci, an ETF expert, predicts an avalanche of similar announcements from asset managers in the coming months. Bitwise's first-mover positioning could establish early network effects or get lost in a crowded field where every asset manager offers functionally identical tokenized products.
