BIX Expands Crypto Visa Card to 49 U.S. States in Six Months

BIX is expanding its crypto-enabled Visa card to reach more U.S. residents, aiming to add 20 states to its current list of 29 within six to eight months.

This expansion would bring the total number of supported states to 49, giving eligible residents access to stablecoin spending through a self-custody wallet.

The card currently supports users in 29 states who can spend USDC and USDT held in their self-custody wallets, with Visa settling purchases with merchants in fiat currency.

BIX is also developing physical cards and virtual accounts that would connect stablecoin balances to ACH, SEPA, and SWIFT networks, extending the card's payment model to bank-transfer networks and additional account services.
