BlackRock Crypto Portfolio Surges 62% in Q3 as Bitcoin Holdings Top 800,000
BlackRock's crypto holdings saw significant growth in the third quarter of this year. The asset manager's cryptocurrency portfolio value rose approximately 62% to around $77.1 billion.
This increase comes from a rise in Bitcoin's price, which climbed over 42% during the same period, from $58,564 to about $84,000.
The iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), BlackRock's spot ETF, saw its Bitcoin holdings surpass 800,000. The number of BTC held by IBIT increased to around 801,270, up from approximately 738,200 at the start of the third quarter.
