BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, has launched a tokenized money market fund on Solana and Ethereum. The fund, called BlackRock Daily Reinvestment Stablecoin Reserve Vehicle (BRSRV), allows institutional investors to manage their stablecoin reserves.

The fund invests entirely in cash and short-term U.S. Treasury securities, with no investments in cryptocurrencies. Ownership is recorded on Solana, Ethereum, and Tempo, with approved wallets managed by transfer agent Securitize.

BlackRock's Global Head of Product and Platform for Cash Management business, Jon Steel, said that 'cash remains a foundational building block for investors, corporations, and financial institutions.'

The fund has a minimum initial investment of $3 million and is structured to qualify as an eligible reserve asset under the GENIUS Act. However, BlackRock notes that future regulatory changes could affect whether stablecoin issuers can continue using the fund as a reserve asset.
