BlackRock ETF Hoax Pulls ASTER into Spotlight

A fabricated regulatory filing claiming BlackRock planned a 'Staked ASTER ETF' briefly drew attention to the token on Tuesday. The fake document, which looked polished enough to deceive even top crypto influencers, claimed that BlackRock was exploring staking-related products in the Ethereum ecosystem.

The rumor sparked speculation among traders, who wondered whether ASTER could benefit from similar attention. However, the claim turned out to be baseless after Binance founder Changpeng Zhao intervened, tweeting 'Fake. Even big KOLs get fooled once in a while.'

Zhao's clarification shifted market focus back to technical analysis, revealing that ASTER has been trading in a narrow band near $0.90 to $0.95 for nearly three weeks.

The token had previously traded in this zone in October and November, halting declines twice during that period. The current price action suggests that there are no new catalysts driving the market at present.
