BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), the largest ETF in the US spot crypto market, has seen significant outflows as investors cut their losses. The fund, with total net assets of $46.18 billion, has been hit hard by worsening market sentiment, recording a one-year return of -45.62%. This has led to a net outflow of $122.06 million during a recent trading session.

The selling pressure pushed Bitcoin toward a potential bottom formation near $52,000 and has analysts noting that the asset may continue to decline in the short-term. Despite this, BlackRock still holds 737,118.26 BTC on its balance sheet, representing 3.67% of the cryptocurrency's total global supply.

In response to the outflow, BlackRock is rolling out conservative Ethereum-based alternatives through tokenized funds and platforms that invest in U.S. Treasury securities, cash, and repurchase agreements under the U.S. GENIUS Act.
