BlackRock Investors' Mixed Crypto Trades Raise Questions
BlackRock's investors made significant transactions in Bitcoin and Ethereum last week. The company deposited $16.216 million worth of the two cryptocurrencies to Coinbase Global Inc. on August 14. According to Onchain lens, this amount consisted of 249.16 BTC valued at approximately $15.67 million, as well as 301.76 Ethereum worth roughly $565,425.
Despite these large transactions, BlackRock's investors have been net purchasing Bitcoin over the past seven days. As a result, the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) has a total net assets of $47.34 billion, and its daily cash flow is still positive. In contrast, the company's ETHA investors purchased Ethereum valued at $246.2 million this week, increasing their net assets to $5.66 billion.
The cryptocurrency market picture remains mixed, with Bitcoin price declining 3.11% over the last seven days and its 24-hour trading volume at $20.3 billion. Similarly, ETH price has dropped 2.63% over the past 7 days, with a 24-hour traded value of $5.73 billion.
