BlackRock-Led Bitcoin ETF Inflows Rebound After Two Days of Withdrawals
Bitcoin ETFs saw a rebound in inflows on September 17 after two days of withdrawals, according to data from SoSoValue. The combined total for that day was $159.5 million, led by BlackRock's IBIT fund which drew $183.7 million.
This marked a reversal of the previous two days' outflows, totaling $746 million, and restored a positive daily reading. However, the inflow did not confirm sustained expansion in demand for funds.
BlackRock's IBIT remains the largest U.S. spot Bitcoin fund by assets, holding $59.75 billion in net assets on September 15 with 1.389 billion shares outstanding. The fund tracks the CME CF Bitcoin Reference Rate's New York variant and charges a 0.25% sponsor fee.
The rebound came as the bitcoin price stabilized near $77,000, and futures positioning remained elevated. However, derivatives activity was considerably larger than spot turnover, with CoinGlass reporting roughly $46.65 billion in 24-hour Bitcoin futures volume.
