BlackRock Sees AI Agents Flocking to Bitcoin and Stablecoins

BlackRock, a leading asset manager, has made some intriguing comments about Bitcoin and stablecoins in its latest report. According to BlackRock, AI agents are increasingly relying on these digital currencies for transactions due to their speed and efficiency.

The issue lies with traditional banking tools like credit cards and wire transfers, which are not suitable for automated software. Autonomous AI tools need money built specifically for software so they can buy computing power and online services on their own.

High card fees also make small payments under one dollar too costly for AI tools to use, while regular bank accounts cannot be opened by digital agents or wait days for wire transfers to clear.

To solve these problems, BlackRock highlights fast blockchain networks that move money instantly at any time of day. The asset manager views stablecoins as the top choice for daily AI payments due to their speed and efficiency.
