BlackRock Shifts Capital From Bitcoin to Ethereum Amid Surge in Crypto Holdings
BlackRock's cryptocurrency portfolio has seen significant changes since early July, with an increase of over $3.7 billion in value. According to on-chain data from Arkham Intelligence, BlackRock's investors appear to be rotating capital from Bitcoin (BTC) to its altcoin fund.
The iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT), managed by BlackRock, has seen a decline in Bitcoin holdings of 3,710 BTC since July 1. However, despite this decrease, the value of its Bitcoin holdings has surged by $2.67 billion over the same period, reaching $47.35 billion at press time.
On the other hand, BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA) has seen a notable increase in Ethereum holdings, with 196,340 additional coins added since July 1. The value of its Ethereum trove is now approximately $5.54 billion, up by $1.08 billion over the past 37 days.
The ETH/BTC pair has broken out from its multi-month capitulation, surging by over 5% since early July. Analysts predict that if BlackRock investors continue to accumulate Ethereum and sell Bitcoin, the ETH/BTC pair could rally towards 0.0312 in the future.
