BlackRock's Institutional Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) has made a significant move in its holdings, transferring $122.03 million worth of BTC to Coinbase Prime. The fund held a substantial amount of BTC as of July 31, with 737,118.26 units valued at approximately $46.18 billion.
The transfer comes alongside IBIT's performance, which has seen a 12.18% return since inception and a -45.62% one-year return. These figures indicate that the fund's investment in BTC has been volatile over time.
The current market situation suggests that BTC is trading within its Bollinger band on the 4h chart at $62,615.75. The EMA50 and EMA200 are forming resistance levels at $63,657.9 and $63,704.89, respectively. Additionally, the MACD death cross remains bearish with a value of -300.29.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is currently at 39.94, indicating room for potential price movement towards lower band support at $62,314.94 before any upward bounce could occur.
