BlackRock's Buying Spree May Push Bitcoin Above $81K
Bitcoin's price has been hovering between $78,000 and $79,000 after facing rejection at $81,265. The market is now at a decision point, with some analysts speculating that institutional demand could push the price above $81,000.
Institutional investors, particularly BlackRock-linked ETF wallets, have been accumulating Bitcoin in recent days. These wallets acquired 3,620 BTC worth $282 million from Coinbase Prime, signaling increased interest in the cryptocurrency.
BlackRock's IBIT recorded net inflows for five consecutive days, with Spot Bitcoin ETFs also recording significant net inflows on August 26th. This trend suggests that institutional sentiment is improving, with corporate treasuries and other investors increasingly buying into Bitcoin.
The Coinbase Premium Gap turned positive for the first time since May, indicating stronger buying pressure on Coinbase relative to Binance. A positive Coinbase Premium Gap has historically coincided with stronger U.S. demand, which could support another attempt above $81,000.
