BlackRock's IBIT Dominates $853M Bitcoin ETF Inflow Streak
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) captured a staggering 81% of the $853.5 million in net inflows into US spot Bitcoin ETFs over five trading days from August 3 to August 7. This influx of capital, which reversed modest outflows of $61.5 million from the prior week, pushed cumulative net inflows across all US spot Bitcoin ETFs to $52.18 billion since launch.
Total net assets in the category climbed to $79.50 billion, representing roughly 6.10% of Bitcoin's entire market capitalization. The daily breakdown shows that inflows weren't evenly distributed, with day-by-day figures running at $170.1 million, $211.5 million, $244.4 million, approximately $128.8 million, and roughly $98.85 million.
IBIT's contribution on the final day alone was $86.71 million, while Fidelity's FBTC added $40.95 million over the full five days. Meanwhile, a handful of smaller funds including BTCO, HODL, and DEFI actually posted minor outflows during the same period.
