BlackRock's IBIT Dominates Record-Breaking US Spot Bitcoin ETF Inflows
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) led $999M in US spot Bitcoin ETF inflows on September 21, according to recent data. The trust attracted approximately $618 million, outpacing other major beneficiaries like Fidelity's FBTC.
The combined net inflows for US spot Bitcoin and Ether ETFs on that single trading day reached $1.269 billion, with IBIT accounting for more than half of the total figure. This influx of institutional capital reinforces BlackRock's position as a category leader in the space.
Total assets under management across US spot Bitcoin ETFs have surpassed $102.5 billion, with some estimates suggesting that this number could reach as high as $105.6 billion by late September 2026. The record-breaking inflows come at a time when weekly Bitcoin ETF inflows had been modest, around $6.2 million, before the single-day rebound.
The growth of Ether spot ETFs also contributed to the record-breaking day, with their eventual approval representing a significant milestone in the institutionalization of crypto exposure.
