Block Touts Bitcoin for Everyday Spending Amid US Affordability Crisis
Block, the NYSE-listed company founded by Jack Dorsey, has launched an advertising campaign to promote the use of Bitcoin as a medium of exchange. The campaign aims to encourage everyday Americans to spend Bitcoin on goods and services.
The U.S. is currently experiencing an affordability crisis, with high prices being a major concern for voters ahead of the midterm elections.
Block's CEO Miles Suter said in a statement that the company is focused on building financial products that make life easier, and this campaign is the first major illustration of what a Bitcoin-centric financial system could look like.
The ads will run across various platforms, including YouTube, X, Meta, Instagram, Fox Sports, and select movie screenings until December 31. The slogan for the campaign is 'Some things don't make sense. Bitcoin does.'
